Our Programs

Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 6.00pm. We are closed for public holidays and for two weeks over the Christmas period. Fees are not payable over Christmas but are payable for public holidays.

We offer long day care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years as well as a funded 4 year old kindergarten program.

Kindergarten

East Bentleigh Child Care Centre has been operating a 4 year old funded kindergarten program since 2011 and is run by a qualified kindergarten teacher. The kindergarten program operates in our Possums room during the standard Victorian school year terms. Long day care is provided in this room from 7am-6pm, Monday to Friday. However, the kindergarten program is delivered within this timeframe for 7½ hours each day between 9am-5pm.

To be eligible for any 4 year old kindergarten program in Victoria children must be offered a minimum of 15 hours of kindergarten per week. The Centre delivers the same program that is delivered at all state-funded kindergartens, which is based on the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Our 4 year old kindergarten program is perfect for families who want the benefit of having a structured and engaging kinder program with the flexibility of long day care hours.
